Sometimes. But then it’s my plane, and I am the captain, first officer, flight engineer and navigator. The crew follows the dress code that I set. Which in summertime might be a pair of shorts. Flip-flops and shirt tucked alongside the seat.

When I travel everything goes straight into the laundry room or garage as soon as I get home. Luggage stays in the garage gets hit with Lysol and bug spray. Everything else gets washed before it gets put away. Doesn’t matter how clean you are if you just sat in the last guys bed bug eggs.

What's your secret to keep loose footware from smacking you in the head when you invert your aircraft?

Cotton and leather. You don't see people in Speedos walk away from flaming crashes. HH

I worked for an airlines. I've seen many feet. The worst is when they start clipping their toe nails. Watched many people walk into the lav with no shoes.

True story: ''Mam, I wouldn't go in there (aft lav) with no shoes (barefoot)''. ''Listen, I was born barefoot, I was raised barefoot and I'll be damned, I'm going into that bathroom barefoot''.

LIT-LAS or LAS LIT, can't remember.

I always take my shoes off and immediately put them on my hands. No one seems to bother me after that

I believe in remaining completely dressed while in public. It’s called proper comportment while existing in Western Society. And I want to be able to move quickly if need be. Anyplace.

I do; otherwise my feet drag on the ground!

Seriously, I had to take aircrew safety and then Crew Chief Safety for my job. I wear cotton clothing and wear shoes while flying.

I stopped wearing heavy boots or shoes and I now wear a light weight sneaker because my Wings would tire quickly wen wearing heavy footwear! Have fun flying!

Never. Commercial airliners are petri dishes of filth. Couldn't imagine having my bare feet on the deck. I also don't shave on a flight, cut my nails or floss my teeth while seated. I don't bring aboard disgusting smelling food either. I have witnessed all of the above on commercial flights. That's why my flying days are over. No place I need to get to that I can't drive to.
