Do you know if anybody ever compared shooting/hunting to skiing as far as injuries, deaths statistics? Something tells me that skiing would be a whole lot more dangerous. Looks like there in an ambulance camping at every major ski area and they are kept busy. Never seen one at the shooting range though.

I think somebody needs to compare statistics and start campaign to ban skiing, snowboarding, and sledding. It is for the children after all!

Well, I never had a gun K-Boom on me, but I did have a binding pop off a brand new pair of skies in the middle of a jump once. I ended up with a separated collar bone when I crashed.

That's it, we need ski free zones.

But how does it compare to shooting sports and hunting. I have been looking all over but all I see is some anti-gun propaganda.

sking and snowboarding are a 'sport'
You have to be in shape to do either well.

    shooting is an 'activity'

I saw a "comparison" that used number of ER visits due to injuries sustained by participants in various leisure activities. Tennis is unbelievably dangerous compared to shooting sports.

I think the scariest thing is the possibility of Lindsey Vonn announcing she is doing Biathlon at the 2014 Olympics. Take someone who gets hurt just about every time she straps on a pair of skis and give her a gun.
