Private Security here. Work at a Construction Company, all shifts full right now. Semi Retired, but at 30 hours week, and 24 hr call. Former LEO, and am glad to get out of the house. I chose to do mids, and any afternoons to avoid contact at the Const. Co.
Wifey does Insurance claims, so working steady.

Everyone with a job seems to be essential, from what I can see. Excepting for restaurant and some retail workers, most people seem to be going to work. The local factories are all running, AFAIK.

Yes, fortunately both my wife and I are deemed essential. I'm working from home and my wife is splitting her time at the office and working from home. Her evening commute, which typically takes 45-60 minutes is now taking 25-30 minutes.

That is because that Tarantulas defense was to release his hairs and you felt them later in-bedded in the arm.Bob the jag. prefers more like just tearing you up.One of my fav movies is Cat people and that terrific Bowie song, It was a wonder when it was used by Tarantino in that famous Inglorious Basterds tumblr_ly1qokiBvr1rnduayo1_500.gif scene....He must have liked it also.

Remember a lil Pusse won't hurt you but a Big Cat will have you for lunch.

yeah, the commute is near surreal in my neck of woods; especially in afternoon. on topic, recently transitioned over to public sector and not affected by lockdown; we were simply advised to keep our id's on us...

Nope - retired. But son manages a warehouse that ships some food items as well as some medical supplies. So he is working as a result. But they are locking down the warehouse so deliveries and shipments are done solely by his crew - no one else gets inside the building (to touch anything). And his crew internally is being diligent about washing hands and distancing

Worked in the Bread business for 47 years. Saw a lot of panic buying. Glad I am retired now.

A BIG thanks to those of you still working to keep us healthy, safe, and logistically moving the stuff we need.

Retired DoD worker that was considered essential, but now just try and stay out of the way.

God bless all first responders and healthcare workers.

For sure. The people on the front lines are literally risking their lives to do their jobs. Some of us truly appreciate them.

I read that 80% of those in our state have "essential" jobs. the only good thing about the "essential" job situation is that if you CAN work from home, you MUST work from home. But this is not being enforced, so it seems more are on the move than should be.

and yes, I have an essential job, and no, I can't work from home.

I work for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company that makes a number of treatments for patients. I need to be on site to oversee, troubleshoot, and approve laboratory testing, so we are considered essential and have to be on site. The company has non-lab/non-manufacturing employees working from home and has split the lab shifts to reduce the number of employees on site.
