I go to a barber, but I wish I could learn to do it myself. You can see from my pic that it ought to be pretty easy since I wear it so short.

For the last 3 years or so I've cut it myself with a Wahl trimmer (with plastic attachments) and a cheapo beard trimmer.

I'm sure it's not spectacular, but it's good enough for me and the price is right.

If I'm going to be in a wedding or something I may go to a barber to get a nice cut done.

    LOL, nope.
I go to a local chain, "The Barbers" and they're actually quite good.
They won "Best Employer", blah blah a few times and there is very little turnover.

Mostly female barbers, so it's unlike the traditional shop in that regard.
A middle-aged Cambodian woman usually cuts my hair and fills me in on all the neighborhood news.
Don't get her going on the communist takeover of Cambodia.
There's no stopping her and she's very loud.
    LOL

Nope, I don’t go to a barber either, I haven’t had a haircut since winter 2012. I take my retirement from the USAF seriously.

    Anyone have tried this?
I am considering it, but reviews in Amazon are mixed.

Tempted to try... I have used a regular razor for 15? years without a problem, but if the Headblade is more than fancy marketing maybe I would appreciate it.

    You can rock that.

    Others......not so much.

I've used trimmers to cut my own hair for 20+ years now. My hair grows so fast, I'd spend too much money at a shop.

Another Wahl trimmer user here. The various attachments make it foolproof.
Classic male pattern baldness, so it’s part done at the start.
Use to be $20 for trim and tip every month, for 5 minutes in the chair with some purple haired Philly airhead.
Started doing it myself 12 years ago

We have a Wahl, and I use it to trim my beard when it gets too woolly.

My wife uses it to trim her "other" beard. :D

Only since I retired. I also stopped shining my shoes and wearing a tie.

The last hair trimmer I bought was like 10 bucks. I can't see paying someone to cut my hare all the way down to nothing. I do it when at my leisure, a couple of times a month.

Have not shaved in a long time either, I just buzz the facial hair down to a shadow when I cut my hair.

I buzz mine every 2 weeks. Cheap wal mart clippers without a guard.

Saves money, but the time savings is more important to me.

The woman has been cutting my hair for years. My kid can do it when the woman is away. Another great way to save money.

I have been going to random barbershops hoping to find a good one - so far limited success.

I get it cut about every 10 weeks - last time I happened to be going into Walmart - as I walk past the haircut place I see no customers - so I walked in - I think it was $14 but I have her a $20 because she also trimmed my ear, nose and eyebrow hair -

I have never given myself a haircut - but have trimmed a little around the ears a few times - when I realized I was looking shaggy and had to be someplace.

I need a haircut right now - but just had some cancer chopped / burned off the top of my head and think I should wait until it is healed before I go get one.
