Disregard entirely anyone else's definition of success. Do YOU consider yourself successful?

    Just curious.

yes as a soul proprietor I considered myself successful ..... until 2009 hit that is. Several Clientele filing for bankruptcy and a 75% sales decrease put me back in humble mode pronto.

I have two great healthy kids, a boy and a girl, and I wife who has been my best good friend since jr high, I think that is my definition of success as money comes and goes, but a good family will be there forever .... so yes

and just for all of you who would say "only a poor guy would say something like that" ..... thats not what its about I have a great job at a fortune 500 company, a brand new house, and a nice convertible cobra sitting in the driveway so no I'm not just saying that because I'm a broke loser

Not yet, maybe in 2 years who knows, probably not.....Success is subjective at best. It all depends on how you measure your success, and what your personal goals are.

I can honestly say no, I dont see my self successful, while others have told me I am, I don't see it.

Personally- Yeah I am I have 2 wonderful, boys, and my smoking hot wife that I am crazy about.......

Professionally- There is alot I want to do, I have alot of goals, so much I want to do, but I am getting burnt out, and I an starting to question alot of things lately.........

No, but I have a plan and am on the right path; that's enough to keep me happy.

<---thinks being happy is as important as being succesful (they are related though ;))

i would not say i am a romanticist, but rather a sentimentalist. so in all good faith i look back fondly and with some regret; there have been good times, hard times and i've had my share of bad times. it is all part of the journey of life and the word "successful" does not come to mind. my reflections come sometimes in colors and when they blend, the roads i have walked seem so exhaustive, yet short; but always i have cared. i have failed at many things and sometimes "success" has evolved as a process. we have a moral obligation to care, and an ethical duty to try; success is a natural consequence, yet it also is an action word. thank you for caring enough to ask....

I'm not rich, but I have a wife I love (and who loves me), a decent house, two good dogs and enough money to have fun so I definitely consider myself successful.

considering where I came from and the path I was on.... I would say I am very fortunate and extremely successful. But there is a difference between rich and successful. So now im working on the rich part of it:supergrin:

Yes. It's a choice. I do experience Failure from time to time but I learn and choose to move on.

I have learned how to navigate through life. I consider that a success.

When I look back at my life and consider where I started, what tools I had to work with, where I am currently and what path I'm currently on, I have to conclude that yes, I am successful.

I also don't plan on sitting on my laurels anytime soon.

I'm 37 years old and at this point in my life I have never bounced a check!

My mortgage gets paid and I have $ZERO$ credit card debt.

My kids get new clothes and they have more toys than I can wade through.

Everybody gets however much food they can eat.

    I would say I'm successful.
