Maybe I'm weird like that... I enjoy the "clicks", "racks", "pops", "racking", "cocking", "decocking", etc....

The sound of firearms is cool!! Anybody else enjoy the Symphony Of Cold Steel!?

Whenever I go in the front yard and "rack" a gun that is my dogs cue and she boogies off into the woods. I love the sounds, the Pyrenees hates them. BTW, I live in the country. I love shooting in my own yard.

I do like the mechanics and the sound of the workings mating, sliding, engaging, etc.

I also like finely machined mechanical things.

My all time favorite mechanical "thing", was a lever action model 1886, .33 cal. Winchester. When you "flicked" the lever it made a complete transition to the stop so smoothly and solid sounding, it was a dream to use. (I used it for deer hunting when I was a kid)

I know girls that love the sound of gun sounds. I honestly don't care for the sounds as long as I get to shoot.

I love the sound of the last casing in the mag hitting cement or concrete, especially when I can also hear the final echoes of the fired shot.

I love the sounds but when I am practicing reloads and dry fire I know all the slide, mag drops and trigger pulls make others uncomfortable.

One of my favorite sounds is the chatter of the recoil spring in the M16 while out on the rifle range while in the Marines. Great time.

I remember my first time shooting my AR, and hearing the BCG push the recoil spring back in the stock tube......

    I was all like "WTF?"

Don't even notice it anymore, I think that sound subsides as the rifle breaks in.

As far as the rest of firearms sounds.......I used to be excited by them, 20 years ago.

The only gun sounds I don't like are the sounds of someone cocking a glock in the movies! Heard a new one the other night. It was about the OK Corral and when Doc closed the double barrelled shotgun, it sounded like someone racking a pump!

    +1000!!!

Also like the spin of a cylinder, racking of a slide, slide/slam of a magazine into place and empty brass hitting the ground.

I also love the smell of gunpowder.

Some of my favorite sounds include:

    - The authoritative "clack" of performing an "HK slap" on my MP5s.
    - The "wall of sound" from letting off bursts of .45 ACP from a 1928 Thompson SMG.
    - The nice "pfffft" from shooting a subsonic .22 LR from a wet suppressor.
