    My P220 factory nickel plating has lasted over 13+ years fine.
    And the Nitron black stainless on my P239 still looks like new.

    SiG original blue did fine if you looked after it like you should any pistol...I never liked them and either bought or had mine Nickel plated (by Klein Plating in Erie, PA just as SiGARMS did)...newer models came and were stainless, nickel, Nitron and coated to make them more popular...what finish do YOU have???
