Just think all them essential truckers with nasty beards can't even wash the fifth wheel grease off their hands before they go to the buffet at TA. And they probably haven't had a shower or brushed their teeth in a few days.

Are you saying that they aren’t allowed to use the restroom or are you saying that in general all truck drivers are nasty heathens?

I keep mine short, wash my face often, don't get food in it and wash my hands after being in the bathroom. I work at a casino and over 50% of the patrons don't bother washing their hands when leaving the bathroom, one reason we have been closed for two weeks doing our part because the public won't

    Yes. :animlol:

But, ... thank God for those 'nasty heathens' who are delivering essential goods and supplies to vendors each day so that we can all get through this!

Just maintain a safe social distance at the communal feed-trough known as the T.A. buffet line. o_O

The 'No-Elbowing Rule' has been in effect for at least 10-days, ya know. :whistling:

Some truck stops have closed the restrooms and put porta potties outside. I am glad I am a local driver. Most warehouses will still let us in and they have open restrooms. Many only let drivers they know in the building. They use excuses like we need to come in to show them what part of the load is theirs. The real reason is most long haul drivers around here are from the third world. They don't practice good hygiene so they don't want them inside right now. Some warehouses are always like that. Even grocery warehouses that make you sort and segregate the freight or pay lumpers to do it are only letting drivers they know in.

I keep mine short as well. I hate having it but due to skin cancer I am told not to shave by my dermatologist. I use a trimmer with the 1/4" spacer on it. But I would prefer not to have one. But I prefer having a beard to death.

My mustache, somewhat, prevents spreading any virus that I may have. When I blow my nose, farmer style, some of the mucus, that'd be snot for those of you in Rio Linda, gets caught in it. The final filter, so to speak.

I recently shaved my mustache off after about 30 years and have to say things seem more sanitary without it. Especially when my allergies kick in and stuff starts flowing. I'm looking forward to experiencing an ice cream cone too.

In my driving days, yeah, there were a lot of nasty heathens. I can’t imagine with the influx of foreign types from the s hole countries it’s gotten any better. I remember following this guy through the buffet one time, his hands were black and he stank. I took different things than he did and left. It was gross. And for the record he was not a person of color

Never had much use for "pros" in that arena.

And if I did, I know I'd be great, having practiced so much while alone.

I think it is pretty common for commercial drivers to pee into a bottle in their vehicle instead of going to a restroom. Time is money ya know.

I pee in a bottle while fueling up and I am not a commercial truck driver. :dunno:

I used to be a casino dealer. First time was way back in 1982ish. I seemed to always be sick with a cold or flu.

After a few months I realized how dirty and sticky the chips were so I started washing my hands every break and all those colds went away.

I stroke mine quite often. I also tuck it into my shirt when I eat, and that seems to help.
