What is the major differences between a Gen 3 & a Gen 4
Glock 22? Is the Gen 4 better?

Features or Gen 4 include more aggressive texture, shortened length of trigger reach but with added back straps to make grip bigger, double recoil spring assembly, larger and reversible mag catch and an extra (three instead of two) magazine.

All of which is why I chose the gen 4 when I bought my G22, which is my first Glock and, in fact, my first handgun. Actually, the key selling points to me were the double recoil spring and adjustable backstraps. The texture and additional magazine are added bonuses.
