Are there any besides the G17L having the longer barrel and slide length? What about the slide release, trigger, cut out in top of slide, or magazine release? Thank you in advance.

    17L has no barrel ports.

They're pretty much the same for everything exept slide/barrel length. The cut out on top of the slide might be a bit longer on the 17L.
I can't wait to get rid of the extended mag release and 3.5 pound connector and go to standard items.

I am pretty sure they have the same exact frame features (trigger pull, ex. magazine release).
So the only difference would be the extra legnth of the slide and barrel. The G34 and G35 both have a the front of the slide beveld like the sub compacts. The G17L and G24 have the squared off look of the other models.
Here is a picture that sows what the top of each one looks like
(from left to right: standard, 34/35's and 17L/24's)

;) The 17L is so rare that you better send it to me for safe-keeping. I'll take real good care of it for yah! ;e

    Moreover:

I've heard that you can get 4 calibers out of a G35 which comes in standard 40 cal, by purchasing extra 357 Sig & 9mm barrels / magazines, plus the 22 conversion slide kit.

Is this true and how would this setup work for flexibility?

    ;i No.

If you didn't shoot it it would be a shame. You bought it to shoot right?! I know I am NEVER selling mine, so to just let it sit would be retarded. I have about 500 rounds through my new G17L so far, and it is very impressive.

The G17L is awesome!!! My first range session was last week. I ran 300 WWB through the pistol. It performed flawlessly. The last 100 rnds was just a ragged hole @ 7 yards. My brass was ejecting at my 3, and about 2-3 feet away. I fired the pistol with out a magazine a couple of times and the brass fell through the hole in the grip. I ordered an extended tungten guide rod with a 13# spring. We will see how it shoots after the install.
