China just suffered a mass knife ROP attack that the media called the work of militants or ethnic minorities.

Just having two imposters aboard is enough to make you wonder........

Maybe just another in a long string of isolated incidents.

As always, we need more details.

That said, the passports and the utter lack of anything from the cockpit about weather or mechanical issues does point in a sinister direction.

It was a fuel tank explosion, just like in TWA Flight 800.

Well, well, well.... right now, Fox News is interviewing a FBI investigator who is comparing the similarities of this incident with TWA Flight 800.

Yeah, probably a fuel tank explosion. They happen all the time, don't they?

I've heard no reports of people seeing a huge fireball from other aircraft or ships at sea.

Also, the oil slicks that they found were miles long and wide, so most fuel does not appear to have been burned off in an explosion.

    Doesn't a mid-air explosion leave a massive debris field?

Unfortunately you're probably right. Hopefully they can get the black boxes, enough clues to figure out how the plane was sabotaged so they can prevent it in the future.

Isn't it possible that a lot of international flights have a couple of imposters on them, and it just never gets detected or reported because the flight progresses without incident?

At an estimated 50,000 flights worldwide a day, I don't know that 2 fuel tank explosions in 18 years can be considered "happening all the time".

Of course it is. But at the same time, someone pretending to be someone else on a flight probably has a motive other than that they didn't like their own passport picture.

No, they don't happen all the time, in fact, they never happen. (I thought the sarcasm would be obvious.) The only time I have heard of a fuel tank exploding on an airliner (outside of combat) is with the TWA 800 incident, and that was just an excuse to detract from eyewitness accounts of a what appeared to be a missile strike.

And the point I am making is, be skeptical of the official explanation for this incident.

Yes, the sarcasm was obvious. My point was that with many millions of flights a year, even things that are extremely improbable (which is far more accurate than "they never happen") will eventually happen, and may even eventually happen more than once, over a long period of time. Fuel tank explosions could be one of those things.
