ARMED 70-YEAR-OLD WOMENS BASKETBALL COACH SHOOTS ATTACKERS WHILE WALKING TWO PLAYERS TO THEIR CARS
I'm sure this will be the leading story on MSNBC.
Good for him!
I think there should be a cable channel at every jail/prison in the country where they run news stories nationwide about ccw holders who kill, shoot or detain dirtbags with a gun.
The channel will automatically run at every meal and right before lights out with the volume turned way up.
Wait a minute - they told me on CNN that armed faculty members wouldn't help keep students safe.
Did anybody else think it was odd that the headline for this story said "women's basketball" and didn't mention "high school" or "school" or "students"? Pretty much the opposite of the number of stories we've seen lately that say "school shooting" over some gangstas shooting at each other on the street by a high school or college.
Wonder if that was intentional.
Any bets on whether they fire him for having a gun at school?
He is a DPD reservist, so he should have his PFZ exemption box checked off on his carry permit. That would make him legal to carry on school grounds, but the school could still fire him for violating a policy on possessing weapons.
Sounds like junior did his last robbery. Good victim choice.
It doesn't say this in the article linked above, but the coach was taken into custody.
Oh, in case you doubted it, the deceased's mother says he was a good kid who wouldn't get mixed up in any funny business and she wants answers.
And were they able to come up with the required picture of junior in a prom tuxedo?
It is funny they all say that after their kid gets popped.....and they have the momma crying and such for even more effect. What a bunch of media BS.
I wonder if he was taken into custody, or if he went to the police station to make a statement. I suspect he went voluntarily, the the press doesn't know or care about the difference and saying that he was arrested increases interest in their story.
Do you have a link to a fuller story, or was that local news?
Thank god this guy was a reserve police officer who is exempt from pistol free zones in Michigan. Other CPL holders would have had their gun in their vehicle like state law allows.

"I lost my son and I want answers."
Well, let's see. Your son and a friend pulled guns on a senior citizen and two girls. Said senior citizen pulled his weapon and fired when your brave , intelligent young man of a son pointed his weapon at two girls. Shortly there after he took a well deserved dirt nap.
That clarify the situation a little bit for you? It does for me.
Good to hear.
The interesting part is at the bottom; the reporter writes about two other shootings in the area where CPL holders exercised their 2A right and disposed/discouraged of some crud.
