    Good kill

He was talking smack to a literbike rider and that's all he brought? Obviously he had no idea :)

To even begin to talk smack to a literbike you need at least 800hp in a car.

That car go killed even off the line (where the car SHOULD have the advantage).

I'm uploading the video of all three races.
First was against a supercharged Mustang, I was having wheelie and traction problems and still beat him by 1.2 seconds.
The second race is the Firebird roasting, I won by 3.5 seconds.
The last race was a close one.
It is a full blown drag car and he was out of the gate like a rocket, but I reeled him in at the 1/8 and beat him in the 1/4 by .0537 seconds.

Wow, that's a good day :) So what times did you run? And what were your 60' times?

I was running between 10.2 and 10.6 (sea level correction puts me in the low 9's), 60's were in the 1.7 range. Stock wheelbase is hard to launch without wheelies or smoking the tire.

Is your bike all stock? Is it lowered or strapped?

It's for a good laugh, but it doesn't take much to smoke a cage. :clown:

Man, I wish the local strip would let cars and bikes line up together. It's always 400 cars and 30 bikes. And out of those 400, 15 might be woth watching. Nothing but STOCK Civics, Queervaliers, and other random $#!+boxes that have NO business being there. I get tired of waiting. They won't even let you run over 120mph without full leathers. It used to be 130, and I still got kicked out. I actually thought that was cool. A good set of skins is on my list though. Can't wait to get back to the track! Cool vids, BTW

Distance (in feet) behind Lola-Ford Cosworth Champ Car at end of Mile

    Vehicle Distance

    Lola-Ford Cosworth Champ Car 0

    MV Agusta F4-1000

    Viper SRT-10 1649
    Chevrolet Corvette 1888

    -------------------------------------------------------

The MV Agusta Tamburini is a pretty mean two-wheeled machine but its acceleration is well shy of the Hayabusa or the other Japanese liter super bikes.

One example does not make epsylum's statement correct.

Not to mention the OP put up 1/4 mile videos, not full mile videos.

It does take a pretty good HP to weight ratio to beat a bike in a pure acceleration contest.
With rider weight included I have a 1hp to 3.6# weight ratio.
So a 2500# car (with driver) would need around 700hp (measured at the rear wheel) to have the same HP to weight ratio as a modern liter bike.

Good point. Alas, HP/weight is only one of many factors in a pure constest of acceleration.

Sure. You need to have skills to deliver the power with traction. But there comes a point where no powwah = no go.
