So (hypothetically) the military is hell bent on replacing their current service pistols. Design a pistol that works for most soldiers. Ambidextrous, manual safety, a way to attach accessories and the ability to run a supressor out of the box. Caliber of your choice

The only kicker is you have to design it in MS paint :tongueout:. Let's get to it!

I'd be fine with an M9A1 and a G series decocker.

Otherwise, an M&P9 w/ safety would also work well.

I'd agree that the M9A1 or 92A1 fits the bill. For any REAL improvement over the M4, M9 we're going to have to thumb our noses at NATO and design a new cartridge and modular weapons platform that packs more performance into a smaller/lighter weapons system. Time to do away with smokeless propellants, driving conventional projectiles and update "modern" small arms with something more up to date. Basically, "Railgun" technology on a miniaturized level. Something smaller and lighter than an M4 that has the ability to take out aircraft, main battle tanks and various armored vehicles from miles away.

Astartes Pattern Bolt Pistol with some purity seals and the blessing of the machine god. Faithfully built by the techpriests of the Imperium of Mankind in the forges of Mars. It needs to attach nothing and needs no suppressor. Fires a .76 caliber bolt powerful enough to glance AV10, no saves permitted on 5+ armor which is about all the normal people anyway, and gives the soldier an extra CC attack due to using a pistol in addition to his M9 bayonet.

(i cheated, i didn't draw it.)
