A guy broke into my dads shop years ago to steal his truck. Moved a nicer car out of way, was sitting in his driveway when cops went to ask him. Not sure what he was charged with but he was trying to say it was his so he could take it back. Cops didn't agree with him

If he had only jumped out of the gene pool he would be up for a Darwin.

So... he goes from a deadbeat car owner who didn't pay for repair work to a criminal guilty of grand theft auto. Not sure if that is going down the totem pole or just a horizontal move.

In the business world that would be a lateral arabesque.

Funny stuff. Working at a auto tech, people trying to steal their cars without paying for the repairs is more common than you think. Once they get the car, all you can do is process civil action.

In my time as a shop owner, and dealership service manager, I have had to lock up several peoples cars. Most paid them off, some ended up being owned by me, and one person tried to steal it from me. He ended up in jail.
