Defensive driving coarse.

    Two weeks ago I did some online ins shopping and I was asked if I had taken any defensive driving coarse's(which I have not). Would my Ins go down if I was to take a defensive driving coarse:headscratch::dunno:

    That's a question only your specific insurance provider can answer. While some insurance companies may provide a discount for succesfully completing a defensive/safe drivr course, other may not. Call your insurance company.

    Only if they teach you J turns and PIT maneuvers.

    if they ask, a defensive driving course* may definitely lower rates.

    When I asked my agent if my insurance would go down because I'd had the defensive driver course he told me he ought to raise my rates because I had taken it to get my Oversize Load escort license. Apparently that made me higher risk. :upeyes:

    I suspect it depends on your insurance company. I was required by the Army to take a DDC when I was stationed at FT Irwin, CA. However, my insurance company, USAA, never reduced my rates. It doesn't hurt to ask.
