What do you guys like for sabots in your shotguns for deer? I just got a rifled barrel for my 11-87 and I need something to get sighted in for this fall's deer season.

For 20ga (my favorite gauge) I used either Brenneke slugs or Winchester Super-X with BRI sabots. Haven't tried the newer offerings from Remy or Winchester. Always had good luck with Win and Remy.

    +1 on the brenneke.

I have a good friend that hunts bears with a 20ga and solid brenneke slug. He also does deer with them too. A 20ga slug hitting around 300plus grains will create a havoc on deer/hog/bears, just as good as a 12ga slug.

I don't know how much that auction is, but I did have a souce for these 21" cantilever bbl for the 20ga 1187 & $199.00.

I have that same bbl but SB for the 12ga 870 and it's on my turkey outfit. It will save you the $35 for he mount and if you drop optics on them, they will not loose zeros when you move change out the bbls. Just something to think about if you don't win that bbl on Gunbroker.

Score! I may very well take you up on that. I already won and paid for the Leupold mount but I would just turn around and resell it to get most or all of my cash back.
