Strictly on an impulse buy, I bought a Stealth-Cam from Walmart, about 2 weeks ago. I set it up near my tree-stand, just prior to the WI gun deer season. I'm amazed at the pictures I got. In a week's time, I got over 50 pics of deer (the camera is still out there, with a new roll of film I put in yesterday), but unfortunately almost all were taken in non-legal shooting hours. I only got about 10 pics during legal shooting hours, and those were all young deer that were still on the move in the morning just after hunting hours opened, and were up and moving just before dark. The big deer have gone completely nocturnal, due to all the hunting pressure. I got pics of a big buck, and because I know he's hanging around my hunting area, during the 9 day gun deer season (which closed on Sun, Nov 30th) I passed up numerous shots at smaller bucks & does, hoping for a shot at him (you only get one buck tag here for firearms, and one for bow). Our muzzleloader season is now open, until Wednesday Dec. 8th, so I'm still out there trying every morning & afternoon. I've then got 3 more weeks of bow hunting. Now that the vast majority of hunters are done, the woods have quieted down, so maybe he'll show himself when it's legal to shoot. Here's the best of the pics I got with my camera. It was taken at 1:25am, Thanksgiving morning. Got any good trail camera pics, let's see 'em.
