If anyone has ever watched this, there are two new eaglets in the nest, and a third hatching.

Living along the upper Mississippi for the past 18 years we see them regularly in the winter as they stay the winter to fish the open water around the wing dams and below the locks/dams. About 4-5 years ago it started to become rare but not unexpected to see some in the summer that have nested and stayed.

On a blustery winter day we can go down by the river below the lock/dam and see anywhere from 40-50+ eagles roosting(?), sitting on the ice, soaring, swooping and diving for fish in the open water areas. They are no longer endangered but are obviously protected.

Cool. The one 2-3 years ago was pretty neat, when it was up. This even has AUDIO. Wow.

That is way cool. I like that better than the Africa water hole camera.

We have lots of Bald Eagles around here. This two are raising 2 chicks near the James River in the city. Uh-oh, where's the little one?
