I've got a problem. Three pistols that I really want have come available and all for the same price. 1. S&W 1911 commander sized 9mm. Three mags, box and all the accessories. New condition. 2. Colt Commander in 9mm, Aftermarket grips, two magazines, no box. Excellent condition 3. S&W 4506 45 acp, three mags, box and all original equipment. Practicality appears to favor the Smith 9mm as it appears to be in the best condition. However, nostalgia favors the 4506. I had bought a new 645 when I was a young patrolman and six months later out city council decided 45 acp "was to aggressive and sent the wrong message" so 45 was no longer available as a duty caliber and I was forced to sell it to get another duty weapon. I really missed the reliability and accuracy of that big joker. The Colt, well because it's a Colt Commander. First world problems I know.
