Thanks for all the advice. I ended up grabbing a G42 as a deeper concealment alternative to my G43. I’m really glad I did. I know there’s smaller 9mm than the G43 like the Kahr PM9 and smaller .380 options like the LCP and Kahr P380 but I wanted to exhaust all the Glock options before looking elsewhere. The G42 disappears on me and is exactly what I was looking for.

Gonna head to the range later today. I did shoot a G42 rental before buying, it’s a sweet shooter with practically no recoil.

I shoot my G42 as well as I shoot my gamer G35 setup, at least at closer ranges. There is just something about that gun. If I could only own one handgun, my G42 would be it.

I've bought 5, 1 for myself the rest for female family members. I like mine but the women absolutely love theirs.

Good for you. The G42 shoots like a .22, but will handle every hot .380 round I've tried. I stocked up on Critical Defense when I bought it, but of late I've been leaning toward the Underwood Extreme Defender in +P. I've also considered the Buffalo Bore 100 gr. Hardcast. Both of those will approach 9mm performance in the G42 (especially compared to the 9mm rounds we used in law enforcement for decades), and I'm more than comfortable carrying that pistol and those loads on most days. p.s. I'm set up for a range trip in the next few days with the Magguts upgrades (no luck with ETS magazines). 7 + 1 would make this pistol even better, but bone stock it has already earned my confidence

I use MagGuts +1 in all my G42 magazines, never a bobble, mild to wild. My carry for the G42 is UW 90gr XTP +P.

Hopeless 42 junkie here; like baby bear's porridge, it is 'just right'. If it were the same size and 9mm, it would be harder to shoot. If it were smaller and still .380, it would be harder to shoot.
