I was in my local gun store today and they had a brand new glock 17 gen 3 in flat dark earth. First one ive seen in person so I immediately looked it over and bought it. I was wondering what is a decent price to pay for one or if I overpaid?

I paid $525 for my FDE G17. It was listed at $570 but I talked them down. I was going to buy it if they lowered the price or not. LOL. I love FDE.

They had it listed for 549 but i fell in love with the dark earth frame so price didn't really matter at that point. I felt that was still kind of high for a gen 3 because I've gotten all of my other glocks for 499 or less new.

As long as you are happy with the pistol and like it, you did not overpay for it. That said seems like the price is in the correct area.

This is the same price I've seen most G17 and G19's listed at.

I bought my 17 at $580. Prices are a bit higher in my area.

I wanted an FDE, but they didn't have any. Probably would have paid $50 more for an FDE, just because I like them.

    Congrats!

Prices are extremely high in my neck of the woods being outside Chicago. I probably would of paid a lot more for the gun just because I wanted a dark earth glock that bad. Excited to take it out and shoot it. Just ordered the 3.5 lb trigger connector kit for it.

I've seen anywhere between $500 and $575, with the average being $540. If you really wanted it, and the prices in your area justify the cost, you should feel fine about what you paid. Good luck with it. I like the look of the FDE frame.
