    Somewhere tonight on Glock Talk a young Man opens this thread and notices the guy playing the tambourine and say's "Gee that guy looks like,.........Dad? Oh my Goooooooooood God it's my Father!"

    I saw a 60 minutes episode that showed Winwood to be smart and stable. Long term marriage, bought a country estate when he was young, didn't seem to have messed his life up nor live too far on the crazy side.

    Edited: I looked him up, guess he was twice married. 78 to 86, and 87 to present. His manor in the Gloucestershire countyside is 300 years old :)

    I wonder if he is still the substitute organist at his church. The interview I read said a lot of folks didn't even know they had a genius superstar in the house.

    Clapton used to try to get him to concentrate on being a guitar player, but he liked keyboards and the other 27 or so instruments he plays.

    I have an album (ok, I'm really old and I dont like to call it a disk) of Winwood and Clapton.

    It certainly helped me escape a bit of boredom in Iraq.

    If you can ever catch the 'Soundstage' (I think it was) of Steve; high-def, very impressive. Subject tune is included.
