It's been a long time since I saw my last one. 30 years ago you could still get Trounds from Old Western Scrounger.

I saw one of them fired just once on a tv show. IIRC the rounds are around $50 each. Not sure of the ballistics of the round but other than novelty/historical value, I just couldn't justify such a buy.

I remember reading all about this pistol in one of my Dad's American Riflemen magazines when I was a kid. Very interesting design, especially the ammo. They also made a Dardick carbine (which looks a lot like a Dardick pistol shoved into a Red Ryder BB Gun).

Anyone know what the ballistics and capacity are?

Interesting gun. I remember seeing them on history ages ago.

I was wondering if we could contact the seller and ask to use his pics to make a wikipedia entry about the gun. There is just really a limited amount of info on it, and those are the best pics I have seen. Does anyone have an account with gunbroker where they can ask him?

I fired one in the late '70's. Long, heavy double-action trigger pull. Pointed well and had light recoil. The cartridge had about the same ballistics as a .38Spl. Would be easier to make, stronger, cheaper, and lighter using today's materials.
