I heard the aluminum foreend on the V7 can heat up rather quickly to the point of needing to wear gloves. I don't have any first hand experience so I'm not sure if it is true or not. But the V7 does look very nice.

V7 also gets my vote. All the handguards are going to require gloves unless you put covers on them. With the regular rails you will have to put at least ladder rails to keep it from cheese grating your hands. With quick shooting it's going to require gloves as well. The V5 would be my second choice. I've got a V3 but would rather have a longer rail, which prompted my most recent purchase.

Call Daniel Defense and tell them what you're looking for. They will give you a list of FFLs that have received that rifle recently.

    I like the 7.

I was fortunate enough to get in on a deal where DD was taking custom orders. A build your own DD made to order thing. They put together a 14.5" LW CHF w/ a M4A1 RIS II and pinned BC 1.5. It has been an awesome AR.

    I like the V4s and V5s.

If I had to suggest just one, it'd be the V5.
