Does anyone know of a Daniel Defense Dedicated forum? Looking to research DD rifles and assumed a dedicated forum would be a good source but not finding one online.

I doubt they've sold enough guns to have a dedicated forum. Even an active subforum may be pushing it.

You just can't afford it! Someday you will learn ! dd hold their value, like when a $1000 bushmaster dropped to $400 over night dd didn't move a dollar, idc what you say its one of the best rifles on the market for the $ or you can dump $1500 into a m&p and lose your ass on resale

Obviously, the OP cares, which is why he asked.

I am strongly leaning towards an SBR in 300 BO to eventually suppress but not something like DD's ISR line since you cannot remove the suppressor for other rifles. I am assuming the DDM4 300 S would be a fine SBR for suppressing but just want to make sure and learn more before making the dive. Also want to learn more about adjusting has output (if needed), etc. once the suppressor is attached.

Side information: Thus will be my first rifle so I am apprehensive about building one. Once I get this first one and learn more about it, I will be much more receptive to building one after that.

That should say "adjusting gas output" not has output ie do I need to mess with adjustable gas blocks.

Do you *need* to? No. With the can on, it'll probably run moderately over-gassed.

I I put a slr adjustable gas block on my ddm4v4 slr had the most simple design and was the least likely to get frozen from carbon, slr is a great gas block, but I would check out micro moa idk if they make a .300 yet but its exactly what you are looking for,if you are going to sbr you wont have a long rail covering the gas block,I had to make a special extra long allen wrench to adjust my slr because it set back so far, as far as the ddm4 300s its a fantastic rifle, and one of the best 300bo guns on the market,I will say dd rails do make it hard to change things around if you decide to change things up being its your first rifle you will need a special barrel nut wrench,my advice is get your stamp paperwork done and sent in and while you wait 6 months get the rifle and play around with it, ,Daniel defense customers service is the best I have ever delt with they have sent me free hardware, dust covers, hats with just a call and if you need answers

Actually getting a longer rail to cover two thirds or more of the suppressor would be a future purchase most likely. Not sure if I would get a DD rail or from another vendor like Midwest.
