After longing for another 1911, but wanting sonething a little higher end than a RIA, but not to the level of Les Baer or WC, I decided on a desert eagle 1911g. Love the feel and trigger reset is awesome. Range report to follow soon

Is that a Billboard on the side of the slide or a screen saver? :whistling:

The billboard is only on one side, the other side is plain. I like your new investment. Tell me about the grips.

Forget the billboard, the DE & ruger are the best in that class IMO.

I dont care too much for the lettering, but it wad the nicest 1911 they had in my price range, and had a little left over to get the pachymer grips. I like the way they felt w the finger grooves, and the color was a little nicer imho than the factory grips

Thanks! The reviews seem positive, and yes I agree that the ruger is top notch as well

    It shoots great.

Its got the best stock trigger of any 1911 under $1000, as far as I'm concerned.

Is the frame steel or aluminium?

    Steel

Not many are making full size aluminum framed 1911s these days, especially for their only full size offering.

The billboard isn't great, but I've heard nothing but good about the functionality of the gun. I'm glad you enjoy it!

Yeah, the billboard isn't the best, but it doesn't bother me. The right side is completely clean.

Im usually one for a clean look as well, but the billboard rollmark is done in a tasteful font and while their ad may have, the gun doesnt scream "******" to me

Congrats, Firefighter! I have one of these and I love it. Best trigger out of the box on the market, so I am told. Accurate, flawless function. I'm sorry to see all the commentary about "billboard." It's a good looking gun, including the logo on the slide. I have no problem with it.
Love the Pachmayr grips. Have fun. Joe

I believe they got rid of that first ad, thankfully.
