hi guys, any tips and advice regarding the cz-75b, parts that commonly fail, tune ups, etc.
I put some oil when it gets dry
Problem parts ; slide stop, extrasxcror , roll pin
at least madali pagawa
even with a new hammer spring,i had 3 duds at last sunday's match;g
so my cz is now at pb for general check up, cleaning and fieldstrip
when i got the pistol i did a field strip and sprayed it with brake cleaner till it ran clear. greased up the lugs and rails, oiled the trigger mech and hammer/sear. it was full of gunk when i received it and the barrel is full of lead too. i wanted to detail strip it but i dont know how. looks too complicated to me. the pins looks like one use only. already got a spare slide stop will look for an exractor. what roll pin shall i look for? already tested the gun with 200 rounds of crappy reloads, and it works fine;f
that is why i took it to PB, i have no idea how to take the gun apart. ika nga ni ng isang top shooter kay gundog, "bakit, gunsmith ba sila?";f
eh engineer ako, kaya binigay ko na sa gunsmith;z
hehe I think I last cleaned mine about 2 years ago ( probably 1000+rnds na )
Most of the problems are caused by modificaions done to the gun or by excessive dry firing
Just have it checked regularly
I wouldnt lose sleep over it
ahhh how many dry fires a day is considered excessive?
use a snap cap and put a cigarette butt between slide and hammer when dryfiring. forgot to mention that mine had about 2K++ rounds. it underwent a tony pascual trigger job when i got it last year
thanks for the info guys, now the sights look small and hard to focus. im already used to the ball in the bucket system
