    Very nice gun.

Too much money unless you're a serious game player.

Thanks Griz, that's the help I'm looking for. I'm far from a serious player, for sure!

I was torn between it and a so-01 because I want to be a serious player but not there yet. I went with a so-01 and a cgw pro package to get me close to being a semi-serious player wanna be. It’s is a great gun from everything I’ve read. A wannabe serious player buddy has one and loves it.

I bought mine with the intention of shooting USPSA. We have a match at a local range where they don’t care what you’re shooting. So I can use it there, too.

It has a smooth trigger. I can hit golf balls at 25 yards most of the time with it. It is too heavy for concealed carry but a chest rig would do just fine.

I also have an CZ 75 SP-01 in which I put a spring kit from Cajun Gunworks. The trigger is close enough in feel to a Shadow 2. The kit is $18. I also changed the polymer guide rod to stainless. For $48 i can shoot it as well as my Shadow 2 for a lot less money.

PB201089.JPG My only issue with my Shadow 2 was that the grips on my SPOI tactical were so much more comfortable. Fortunately Cajun Gun Works solved this with the same rubber grips for the Shadow 2. They certainly aren't as pretty but they sure are comfortable. CZ grips rubber.JPG

Which stainless steel guide rod did you get?

    It’s a nice pistol , if I weren’t so tight I would buy one . I came close to buying a Shadow about 8 years ago , I went with a DW PM 9 . I don’t regret it , but I would still like a high capacity steel 9mm for fun .

The only one for an CZ 75 SP-01 from Cajun Gunworks. I don’t think there were other choices.

After doing the spring kit the trigger went from good to great.

If I wanted I could have used Flitz to polish Internals but it really isn’t necessary.

Double action went down to 9 lb and I don’t recall what single action drop down to.

Be sure to order spare barrel pins. Sometimes they deform.

I really like them. I won't buy one because it doesn't fill a role for me. If I decide I want a really nice range gun for accuracy work, I'll probably get the SAO TSO.

Great shooter for the money. I personally prefer SAO CZ's.

Really? You need to be a series gamer to spend $1150-$1200 on a range gun?

    I think not :)

The Shadow 2 is one of the funnest pistols that I have. It fits right into my hand. Shooting 9mm out of it does not recoil much. I paid bit less than eleven hundred for mine. got it from Kentucky Gun company..

The Shadow 2 looks badass but a plain jane 75b and a Kadet kit for it would be a much more practical way to spend the same $$.

Traded into one. Very nice shooter. Trigger wasn't bad, but not as good as some CZ's I've had with CGW kits and polishing. Very dismayed when I went to get a extended right side safety (left handed) and found there isn't one. Flat safety doesn't work when you draw cocked and locked. Sold it and bought a Tanfoglio stock 3. Came from the factory with right side extended safety.

    Hold on a minute...

I have to give Bac an AMEN on this.

Serious game players drop 5K on an Atlas and then another 1K on tuned magazines.

IMHO, the CZ Shadow 2 is a lot of gun for the money.

I'd love to have it. That's a beauty by sight. Performance of the platform is great, too.

With my SP-01, I can hit 4" clay dish at 50yrd about half the time. This one should/may be better. The platform, however, is the best one for me.

A client's husband just bought one at my urging. He says it's the best, most accurate, least recoiling pistol he's shot.
