I really don't know any other gun manufacturer that has better customer service than glock. (My opinion) And I have delt with Sig and the S&W idiots :tongueout:so I know first hand.

My experience's with them on many occasions has been excellent I recently sent in my Gen 2 19 for what they told me was a warranty upgrade I think they said something to do with salt water issues.

I think they had the gun back to me in two weeks and replaced not only what they told me they were going to replace ( guide rod, etc..) but basically they changed all the parts internally.

I have a list that I cannot locate at this time or I would have scanned it and posted it they did everything but refinish the slide, amazing.

I received a phone call from them telling me that they shipped it and they even sent it back Fed Ex 2 day A+ to everyone there.

I am lucky enough to be in driving distance to the Smyrna GA location. I took both my Gen2's there and they went completely through them replacing just about anything that could be replaced including the mags.
If it could be replaced or had an updated part it got it. No questions asked. I told them I had not fired them in more than 10 years and wanted them checked out because I had was going to qualify with them.
Love It.

I too am within driving distance of Smyrna.
A few month back my grandson and I drove out to Glock
and I had a set of night sights put on my 17. It was a
great experience. They are as nice as they are professional.
After checking in and as they were working on my 17 in the
back, I waited in the lobby area. Every Glock employee that
came through the area and walked past me took the time to
ask if I was being helped.
I only had to wait about 30 minutes and they were done.
Think what you will of Glock pistols, but I can tell you that
their customer service is #1.

Yes, they are pretty darn good. There is a safety up-grade for the gen 1 and early gen 2 guns. Basically the firing pin safety was modified to give it more engagement with the firing pin, to do that they redesigned the firing pin, safety, extractor and trigger & trigger bar, there are improved ejectors, and slide lock springs and recoil springs too. When I see these old guns as an armorer I call Glock with the serial number and they send me the parts, I install them & clean up the gun at no charge as a courtesy to my customer. I have a customer’s old G21 at Glock right now for this, they do not have the 90 degree extractors for these old G21’s so they are machining the slide and refinishing it for my customer, at no charge and under warranty on a 19 year old gun. That is certainly going the extra mile.

In defense of some other manufacturers, I have also had excellent service from S&W, Ruger, Browning and Weatherby.

Yes, my Gen2 21 has a different looking extractor now. Perhaps why they needed an hour and a half. We went to lunch and returned to have the guy show and explain to me everything he did. Hoo-Boy! It was a long list. All free of charge. I did take them up on the $57.00 installed per gun night sights. :)
