I am CNC a machinist by trade. I get some spare time at work, and i'd like to hear some ideas on some things I can make for the Glock or any other cool ideas. This could be interesting if we get a good idea.

Custom slide serrations can really look nice. For example, take a look at the serrations on the muzzle end of the slide that Robar did for GT member exsul3:

I know its a long shot but does anyone know if a regular carbide end mill would be strong enough to make cuts on the slide?

M&P style scalloped serrations on the slide would be very interesting.

Carbide should be plenty strong, just remember though that cutting serrations will cut past the tenifer treatment, so to avoid rust the slide would have to be refinished somewhere like robar and their np3 treatment...

Another machinist here made a glock take down tool that would fit on a keychain. It was a big hit, and lots of people wanted one, and he was supposed to start making them and offering hem for sale on a website but he never did...if I can find the thread I will copy it here...

It looks like this is the key chain tool: http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1398995

Seems very interesting indeed. For the right price, I'd definitely pick one up. I like the idea of always having the Glock tool on me, just in case it needs to be used outside of the home. I'm surprised that Lone Wolf Dist or Glockmeister doesn't make one of these...

Maybe bam1131 can partner with Lone Wolf or Glockmeister to supply it if he can work out an agreement for use of the CNC machine. I see that LWD cooperated with Spyderco to offer a knife with an integrated Glock tool.
