I read this article on msn and I don't see why it's a big deal. They bring supplies and money into the area - what's not to like about them coming?

RCCL has a contract to lease labadee for XXXX of dollars. So why should they not execute their cruises?

The island Resort is miles away from the danger, stink, damage,etc....

Should the vactioners who booked their arrangements not be allowed access to this cruises?

    Agreed.

When wildfires are blazing across California killing people and destroying property, people don't stop going to the beach and tourist-y areas.

Can't please EVERYONE. According to that article, noone saw any negatives to these actions until the UK Guardian wrote an article on it.

They're bringing in relief goods and personnel, and giving any local with "trinkets" to sell the opportunity to do so...how is this a bad thing, again? It's not like they're lounging on hammocks in the way of relief workers or something.

Just after 9/11, our President encouraged us to get the economy going by spending money again. How long should folks wait before engaging in tourism, which is a vital part of Haiti's economy?

After the tsunami, didn't some cruise ship go there to act as temporary housing?

So, a passenger that paid to be on the cruise is now protesting the cruise took him where he paid them to?

The end of the world must be near.........

There are way too many drama queens these days. They want to whine about it to show how much they care. If they cared that much they would have cancelled the cruise and gone to Haiti to help.

I have been to Labadee on a cruise....then employee hundreds of locals on port days. Jobs and income for those in poverty is always a good thing.

Been there, done that, even stepped on a sea urchin while swimming. The lunch we had was shared by a local group of school kids too. I see nothing wrong with returning to the place. Last I checked, jobs were scarce in that part of the world.

They should drop the sob who complained there in Haiti and let him be part of the solution

So they want to punish Haiti more by not spending money there? How dumb are those folks?

No pun intended? Really? Come on, we all know you did that on purpose.

As to the topic, what Haiti needs most right now is money and supplies. RCCL is delivering both. Good for them.
