Cropped picture with virus

    The other day I was going to post a pic on Glocktalk and thought I would crop it so the pic wouldn't be so big. I cropped the pic and sometimes I will send the pic through Hotmail to myself so I can see how the pic is going to look before posting it.

    When I sent the pic Hotmail would not open the pic because according to Hotmail the pic contained a virus. I tried sending it twice and both times Hotmail said the pic contained a virus and wouldn't open it.

    Does anyone know why Hotmail thinks a pic contains a virus just from cropping it? I tried the original pic and it went through fine. The program I used was PhotoImpact 6. Thanks

    do you have a virus scanner on your computer?

    if so, update it, and run it on your system.
