I saw the commercial for the Crizal Lens coating and thought I'd tap the collective. Anyone have these? They look too good to be true, but if they are that good I'd cough up the $$$.

I've got a pair of "progressive" glasses with the coating. I was hesitant at first to fork over the extra money and my previous experiance with non-reflective coatings seemed to always attract dirt, be contantly smudgy and needed to be cleaned constantly. The Crizal is pretty good, and does cut down on glare, doesn't smudge as easy and seems to be holding up pretty good after 6 months.

My wife got it on one of her pairs of glasses. Now she always gets it when she gets new glasses.

I have it on my current pair of glasses. After over a year and a half, I can't find a scratch on the lenses. I will get it on the next pair as well.

I currently have this coating on my glasses and have been pleased with its performance. It is significantly better than other coatings that I've had in the past.

I've had it now on a new pair of glasses for about 5 months and it is by far and away the best scratch-resistant/non-glare coating I've ever had on glasses. It's expensive, but they clean extremely easily and give (keep?) a nice sharp clarity to the lens.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the input. Looks like the Crizal coating is worth the cost.

    This.

Anti reflective coatings are a massive improvement for glasses!

I have a hard time wearing glasses that don't have an anti-glare coating.

My daughter and I both have and like for all the reasons stated.

However my Crizal coatings were more slightly expensive than hers and when I queried my Optician she said that they have several coating qualities..could have been wolfin' me but thought I'd mention.

Crizal does seem to offer coatings with differing but similar attributes.

Worth every penny, especially if you are on the computer a lot.

Had the coating on my last 4 pairs of specs. Love it.

Never had it until my last pair. I will always have it from now on. I didn't really notice a difference until I grabbed my old pair by mistake.

I got them a few months back when I got new glasses. I was trying to buy an entire pair of something without having to take a chinese product. My lenses are Canadian, and my frames Italian.

I noticed a remarkable difference in both what I can see, and the glare that is cut.
I think my lenses were about 200 bucks, but I would never get another pair without the special coating.
