Working with a new camera (D40).

Any input as to composition? Exposure? Anything else? Thoughts greatly appreciated!!!

Beautiful scenery. A more modeling light would be nice to highlight the features of the mountains (to make them more "3D").

:wavey: thanks. I agree about the light. This was taken in the middle of the day. A break in the clouds made for a nice highlight on the trees, but without any light coming in from the sides the mountains do look kind of flat.

I have been trying since you posted this to see the enlarged version. I am really starting to get ticked at my isp...it times out before it loads because we have been so slow the last few days.

From what I can tell from the thumbnail, I would consider using a CP maybe, just to darken the sky. Or maybe a ND (I have never used a ND but I think it would work?). You don't *need* either but it would give more contrast.

    Thanks!

M, was this another of your lunchtime walks?

I might bumped up the saturation or contrast or both (just to see if it helped bring out the reds against a deeper blue sky) in PS but that is about all I would do.

Yup! And Batesmotel is right, it's the East (south end) of Timpanogos from near Sundance Ski Resort.

Love the Wasatch. Hate the fact that I have zero time to be out there enjoying it...

I think it's a real good shot but I would have liked another inch of foreground for balance...
