What's the deal with these things? I heard they would be out soon. Does anyone have an information about them and how much they'll sell for?

I have been wondering the same thing. I signed up on the Crimson Trace site and have recently received a catalog and other stuff but there is still no date. One rumor I've heard is Spring 06 but I haven't been able to confirm that.

I'll admit I'm curious about those user-installed tracegrips. I like my Lasermax guiderod laser just fine, but after 100 rounds fired, the lens does get a bit sooty, and has to be cleaned off with some water and a Q-tip. I suppose that's the advantage of having the diode emitter on the grip instead under the barrel.

Have no idea as to when they will be available, but they will probably cost at least half of what you paid for your Glock.

OK the magic 8-ball says- the 619 should be out in the next 30days, the others next year. So those with the compacts may be in luck, one being me with my 19. Only time will tell, but this is the best I could get.

Last I remember seeing something somewhere (I know, provide a link. I'm looking for it) that the full size grips were to come out first, then compact size and then the subcompact size.

It may even have been here on Glock talk because at least one of the people from Crimson Trace is often on the forums.

Stopdropnroll is a moderator on the Armory> Sights, Optics and Lasers forum. You could check with him. He works for Crimson Trace.

The schedule is still for the LG617 (G17) grip to be introduced first and then the LG619 and LG626 to follow. We have been doing extensive testing on this product, with inhouse people and selected glock users. We have over 15,000 rounds fired in testing so far and things are progressing on schedule.

15,000 rounds! I know,it's a tough job but someone has to do it.:)

Hang in there, the wait will be worth it.

I have 1 question, how well do these work with IWB carry?

And I have another: How do you adjust the beam to ensure that it points where the bullets impact? :)

I don't work for Crimson Trace, but I have their newest models on my carry 1911's.

There is no problem with IWB carry, nor any need for holster modifications. From the photos I have seen of the Glock prototypes it looks like the only holster issue might arise if you use one with a retention strap.

There are two very small allen key holes on the housing of the diode that permit windage and elevation adjustments.

I generally have a lack of interest in lasers. Yet, I noticed from all the photos I have seen, it appears that the user installed Glock model may actually improve the grip of the Glock. It provides palm swells and a beaver tail.

The Lasergrip LG-617 will be available by Jan 06. The LG-619 and LG-626 will be out pretty shortly after that.

Ted, Yes it does change the grip angle just a bit. I am an avid Glock shooter and I find it very comfortable.

All Crimson Trace Lasergrips are steady/solid on "red" lasers.

    Hope this helps.

    Joe ;)
