As many of you may know, Michigan doesn't allow concealed carry on college campuses. Currently Senate Bill 747 is being considered and hopefully will pass. Today just as I was wondering about this bill I noticed my college website "crime alert" button was flashing. This was posted. So that's great. I pass through this building 2 times a day at least and sometimes use the bathroom that's been referenced....all unarmed by the state.
If you're a CPL holder and get caught carrying in a Pistol Free Zone such as a college classroom, the first offense is only a civil infraction. If you're staying out of trouble and keeping it concealed like you're suppose, no one should ever know you're carrying unless you have to use it. If a situation that serious occurs, I'd much rather get the civil infraction and deal with the college administration than be dead. Just something to think about.
Sucks for you, but its just the nature of the beast. Glad I'm almost done with that crap. I graduate in May, but I've been off campus for two years so I have at least been able to keep firearms with me in the same city, and I only have to leave them at home to go onto campus. While in the doorms, I had to leave them all at my parent's house in another city.
Didn't need to explain to Dad why he needed more money until then. The ubiquitous black male sticking something hard in his back in the men's room. Sounds like a Freudian crime report.
We have a lot of theft at the college I go to. I keep wondering when I will come out of class and find my catalytic converter chopped from my car. It's a popular thing around to here to cut those off of parked cars and then sell them for the small amount of platinum they contain.
