    Will the G44 be another 9mm? Maybe another "crossover". What about a 26 slide on a 19 frame? With front slide serrations and no grip cutout. A baby G45.

    It's a 9mm, similar to a G26 Gen5 but with the following differences:

    * it's only an inch wide,
    * 3.4 inch barrel but is overall shorter than the P365
    * rated for +P++
    * weighs 16 oz empty
    * Has a slightly longer grip area to provide 12 rounds and your pinkie will JUST fit
    * Comes with an optional 15 round and 17 round mag
    * Has HD night sights (orange or green)
    * sells for $500
    * It's is more reliable than any other Glock produced to date

    Actually this may or may not be true. Its going to be a .44 Special because its made on a SF frame. They were going to make it a Magnum but tooling costs made it a Special.

    Has Glock ever skipped over, or reserved, a model number like this before? If so, what was the number?

    My guess is the G44 will be the 26 slide on the 19 frame. Someone in another thread said they had inside info that Glock was working on that. Though why wouldn't that just be the Glock 46?

    I’m wondering if the Glock 19 with rotating bbl submitted to the Germans was internally referred to as the “44” at some point thus the skip in numbering to avoid confusion.

    It’s a single stack G29XFS and will be initially released with an Olive Drab frame, a stainless ported slide, and an external safety.

    Either that, or it’s the carbine.

    As I have reported before there was a leak from somewhere in DC that it will be a 26 Frame with a 17L slide assembly. NOT recommended for Appendix carry!

    The 46 is the rotating barrel 19 posted here and other places many months ago.

    I can understand nobody recalling this, oh so long ago in the primordial ooze of early earth, when Glock still knew how to produce something other than a never-ending stream of mediocre non-descript ho-hum 9x19mm gimmicks:

    The 45ACP G41 was introduced at the January 2014 Shot Show.

    The 10mm G40 was introduced at the January 2015 Shot Show.

    I don't remember, all those many many years ago, so many people getting panties in a wad worrying and speculating what the skipped G40 would be.

    Just a different generation of Glock fans...I guess. :)

    i recall reading that was that European 9mm with the rotating barrel so you didn;t have to pull the trigger to disassemble as Ranger357 mentioned.

    all of you are wrong , its a polymer framed 7 shot revolver chambered in 357 magnum. 3 inch barrel and a bobbed hammer . the grip features interchangeable palm swell inserts as well as two different inserts for the front , one with grooves and one without . the hammer spring wont be a conventional coil , instead its an old school leaf spring . and believe it or not , there is a trigger safety as well.
