I went to a new and only donut shop in town today and was shocked at the price of donuts. Granted I have not bought them in years. 20 years ago you could get a dozen for around 3 dollars. What are you folks paying out there, who enjoy those little treats. Paid .80 for a cake donut.

Want to say they are around 35cents each. That is the little place down the street from work. The place right by the house is 50cents or dozen for 5 bucks. Now shipleys wants 75 each and want to say no discount for dozen.

Between 5 and 12 bucks, depending on the quality of the donut.

I used to be able to get to a coffee/doughnut shop near home after 12 noon and get a half price discount. Alas, no more. They sit till they get hard and the throw them out in the evening.

Where I am at there are $6 in Safeway and the other local supermarkets. I am not sure what Crispy Creme sells them for.

We had Krispy Kreme (I think that's correct). I said "no donut is good enough to justify that price".

After a year or two, they hiked their skirts and ran away from this state as fast as they could.

The worst thing is that their donuts. They were really really good, and justified the price. God I miss those donuts.

    /thread. Lol

About 6-7 around here. I remember when it was $2.25. You could get a dozen donuts, 2 coffees and the Sunday paper for $5 and have change left over.

Yes, they are. But that poison is only $3.98 at Wally World everyday in lovely Cincinnati, OH (and they drop in price as the day moves on) ... people just tear them up. :wow:
