03D9C0E0-9619-45B7-902E-59E09AEA6A5D.jpeg Wife wanted to meet daughter and grandpups at an Asian mart in a not great part of Indy.
My son borrowed my G-43 and G-42, to let his wife decide on a CCW pistol.
She’s applied for her Indiana lifetime LTCH. Since the Dragon Lady was ready to NOW, I left my usual EDC a G-27, and took this G-17, with TRL-1 in a G code kydex holster, 147gr FED HST. Semi open carry as the holster stuck out under my Michigan hoodie, we made it in and out safely.
    What’s your Corona Carry?

Moved up to the 23/4 with a 22rd stick close until this is over. Then back to the Hellcat or smaller.

G19.4 as usual. The only thing I do different is pull my rifle out of the safe before I go to bed and put it back in the morning before I go to work.

If you have the need to evaluate your carry for season or other things, then you may not be carrying the right thing in the first place.
    Nothing changed here either.

    Happy Obsessing.

I don't know. I carry a 365 for small carry, but that doesn't mean that I don't carry larger guns for different perceived needs or risks. In summer, a .380 may be adequate for super-light carry, but in winter (and folks wearing Carhart coats), it may lose some of that appeal (both because of power AND the fact that in winter, I won't be wearing thin shorts and t-shirts, so a larger gun is easier to carry).

An extreme example of this, is a G20 is my carry for hiking in the Appalachians. I COULD carry my go-to carry gun (a 365 in 9mm), but given the change in environment, types of risks, and perceptions of needs, I change carry guns.

Today, things are calm. If I were reading about lots of armed robberies and rampant violence right now, the 365 (a convenient carry choice, but lower on power and capacity) would be exchanged for something a bit better (something similar to a normal duty weapon of an officer, etc.).

I can drive a manual transmission car, a four-wheel drive sport utility vehicle, a luxury/sport sedan, and a fuel efficient Prius. It doesn't bother me to switch among the options. It isn't as if I forget how to drive any of them. And the need of the day may cause me to switch the set of car keys I grab.

It must be nice knowing what you will run in to at the worst time of your life.
If I had that power, I'd make sure to just not show up.
    YMMV

Well, I'm sheltering in place, so I don't see any need to change my regular carry routine. I did have to go to Walmart to do a grocery pickup, but the guy who brought out the groceries didn't try to assault me, so the P365 stayed holstered.

Right now the best thing to do is not go meet kids and grand pups as that is how this is spreading so bad. Stay as far away from anyone as you can right now. Load out should be anything you can conceal since crime is already rising and will get worse since the .gov supported criminal element see this as a great opportunity.

The risk of violent activity in an Asian market in the Midwest, and needing such firepower is soooo low.....

Unless you are worried about some racist ninny trying to make a hatement, and retaliate against Asians for the "Chinese" virus.

IMG_20200112_192112.jpg Today was a Springfield Mil-Spec 1911 going to the store. I'm usually carrying that or a G26.
