Recently we've had some boobs tell us that calling 911 is a waste of time because the cops are always far away, doing something else.

I got to thinking about some of the 'URGENT' 911 calls that I've heard go out in just the past few days. I'll bet a lot of you have some good ones too.

    a) Kids threw an empty plastic soda bottle at my door.

    b) My 6 year old won't behave.

    c) FedEx lost my package. (they lost one of mine too, but I didn't call 911)

    d) The man at the emissions inspection was rude to me.

    e) The hotel clerk was rude, and I want a report so I can sue. (We got a lot of rude people around here.)

This was just during the last two weeks... and only the ones I can recall on my shift.

So, when the GNG types whine about not getting fast service while they are being robbed/raped/murdered/etc, just remind them that their neighbors are calling 911 for things like this.

Everyone knows that cops are lazy and worthless. The world would be a much better place if we all just went away and left people to fend for themselves...

Yeah, and we all know that you cop types only go around messin' with people, just for sheets and giggles, and infringin' upon our civil rights. Not to mention following my wife around...can I call 911 to report that?

The same ones who complain about 9-1-1 response times are usually the same one who complain about officers speeding.

Moral of the story...the police are always driving too fast unless you are the one that called 9-1-1...then they never get there fast enough.

Each afternoon we get this over the radio "County units, 911 caller advising possible 10-55 driver at XXXXX location going XXXXX direction, driver of suspect vehicle made obscene gestures at caller, make your own case."

    For crying out loud.

I've called 911 from inside of the 911 operations center, and it still took seconds for them to answer.

You know, I forgot all about those. We get dozens of those call every shift.
A lot of calls during rush hour, where no one is going anywhere fast, but we still get 911 calls about people 'recklessing speeding' on the interstate.

do you live in the "Sticks"? If so I takes a long time for people to get there. If not and you live in a city or well populated town, you need to start making some visits to your local officials.

Here's a recent one...we get an unknown trouble call. The caller is screaming, crying and has a language barrier. When we arrive she meets us in the yard freakin out and starts to run back inside. So i'm thinking hey, this might be something good. She leads us through a couple of rooms and then stops at her washer and points at it. She then tells us that its leaking water and we have to fix it. So at this point i look at the other guy and give the WTF look. I tell her to call maytag or whoever and we're out. She ended up complaining that we didn't help her in her time of need...unbelievable
