What is it with professional drug agents shooting themselves?

It's a damn good thing no civilian has done that. I mean, like the time my wife made a run on a guy who blew his thumb off with his unloaded .38 revolver.

When will *******s like you realize that 90% of cops are barely functional with a gun? Cops drive cars, too. Should they all be Andretti? They also wear ballistic vests - guess they should be engineers. Computer hackorz, as well, since the vast majority have MDT's in their cars.

Let's see - what else....ninjas, since we often get into fights. Olympic class weightlifters, since moving heavy objects is frequently required. A veritable encyclopedia of knowledge for every law in the nation, no matter what city, state, or locale it may be.

Oh, we're also supposed to know the location of every single address whereever we work. Don't forget that one, since I get flagged down just walking to my truck.

What is it with you, anyway? Had to go all mall cop, since you failed the physical and/or psychological testing? Or, did you get a ticket for speeding? Perhaps you can't stay the **** out of trouble, and are one of our frequent flyers. I've noticed the same antipathy for cops expressed by them. Or, maybe your daddy was a cop, and he abandoned you as a kid. Terrible, and inexcusable, but I don't go blaming all the Office of Surface Mining workers out there for the faults of my father.

Now that you got the technical details out of the way, can you tell us how you, personally, feel about it?

    :tongueout:

I agree with you. Years ago I was told, "yah I use a pen at work all the time, doesn't make me Hemingway"

Yeah, he's just a ****** that rarely posts anything BUT anti-LE posts. I did forget one, though - perhaps a cop ran off with his old lady.

Calm down there, officer fife! :tongueout:

Cop or not a cop if someone shoots themselves in the *** cheek that is funny.

Personally I do not hold police officers to a higher standard than anyone else. It isn't like they have more training or experience than the rest of us.

AssiNINE? Article didn't say, but it could have been a .40 S&W or even a .45 ACP. But definitely not a 10mm, for the obvious reasons!

Actually, cops are far, far above the civilian population - it's just more likely to make the papers and incite the wrath of the wannabes when a cop screws up with one. I've spent 25+ years shooting with both, from being a LE isntructor to competition and teaching civilians. Many of the problems and stupid things you see on the range, I hdd never even heard of until I started shooting with civilians, after 10-12 years of only shooting with cops. If 90% of the police are incompetent with a gun, then 99.995% of civilan gun owners are incompetent (and slightly over 100% of General Glocking posters).
