What do you consider the coolest car on the planet? Cars between 1950 and 2000, exotics, stock, customs, and trucks. A custom car can be any year, just built in this time period.

    photos would be nice.

A man after me own heart. I love the Cheetah. Dr Thomas won a lot of races with the original. Last I heard they were still building bodies for it.

The car that gave me the strongest reaction in that time frame was the first gen Lamborghini Diablo. The lines, the beauty, the aggression, it just moved me. I have liked other cars more, I know there have been far better cars, but this car....like that first hit of heroin. I have been chasing that feeling in a car since and have not found it.

....but it still isnt the coolest car, not by a long shot.

The coolest car, (and only by a technicality as it *was* a 48, but customized in modern times. ) is of course, Cadziilla.

If you dont like the Cadzilla answer because it is a 48....

I would toss it up between

    1972 Ferrari 246 Dino

1967 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray 427 Convertible

    Colt Seavers 1982 GMC K-2500

There are so...SO many more but these are on my mind now.

first thing that comes to mind is the Caparo T1. weighs about 1,000 lbs. and at 155 mph generates almost double its weight in downforce. basically means, if you were crazy enough, and had the right track. you could drive upside down.

one i would actually want to own though is an Ariel Atom.

    I like Detroit muscle cars.

Favorite would be 1970 Hemi Cuda Convertible - probably worth about $1M now. Second would be 1969 ZL1 Camaro, last the Plymouth Superbird with Hemi (I'd settle for the 440 too)

Two cars get my vote: a recent Bentley (post 2011) and an Audi R8. Hear me, Santa?
