No you won't. Not in the USA at least. It's a 500cc TWO STROKE!

Mr. O'Brien, it has a Husqvarna 510cc single cylinder four stroke. It will be street legal in the U.S.

Not according to the first link.

Then again they may have gotten that wrong. I don't see and expansion chamber on it, but it could be under the plastic.

The Mito 500 is a thumper four-stroke engine. I saw it at the Long Beach IMS in DEC 06. Very pretty and the specs sound great. There is something to be said about a modestly fast but light sport bike. The perfect canyon cutter.

Let’s all say it together now: chuh – GEE – vuh.

They fail to distinguish between the SP 525 and it's 2-stroke, 125cc little bruh. Even Harley could get more than 39 hp out of 525 2-stroke CCs. Bimota got 110 hp out of the 500CC V-Due nearly a decade ago.

I thought it was clear that the bike is a 125cc GP replica streetbike, but with a 501 or 525 engine.

It is a single cylinder four stroke.

That was a V-twin two stroke. That horsepower number came from the crankshaft, not the rear wheel.

For a 501cc, or 525cc single cylinder four stroke the HP is acceptable. Those engines in dirtbikes are fast because they don't weigh very much.

Harley could not do better than this.

I sent Cagiva USA an email. I told them that if they build it, I will buy it. :)

You misunderstand. I was confirming that it is an Otto-cycle motor (frankly, if you look at that exhaust and think “2-stroke”, you’ve not been around many 2-strokes).

Not been around many two strokes? I saw the pipe. The thread was about the bike that Cagiva was considering, not necessarily the pictured bike.

As for two strokes, I currently have three two stroke motorcycles (a single cylinder, a V-Twin and a V-Four). I raced two of them for several years. Have you heard of a TZ125 and TZ250?

This is the way that my second TZ125 was delivered. It came via UPS in five boxes. The third picture is a crankshaft from a TZ250.

I'm a two stroke fanatic. See my avatar. That's me on my TZ250.

The picture of the red one is of a mid to late nineties mito 125 TWO STROKE. It was never legal in the States. I have seen one that was imported and legal. A local Honda dealer wanted $9k for it in 2000. And for another cool fact, the 125s had 7-speed gearboxes.
