Actually, Julia Reep of NC may have been the first to do it:

    01/06/01 Jacksonville, FL Competition
    09/08/01 Statesville, NC Competition
    09/08/01 Statesville, NC Civilian A

Lethal T also mentioned a Debby Nose(?). Don't know Debby or Julia. The article did quantify the accoplishment a bit and reduced it to AmCiv in GSSF's major match...

"When the largest division, Amateur Civilian, ended, the top shooter from the more than 400 competitors was North Carolina's Wei Young. Young had won a "Ladies Only" GSSF match near Charleston, South Carolina earlier in the year, but this was the first time a lady shooter had taken the top prize in the GSSF's major match."

Looks like they have a few female top guns in NC.

The article also mentions Butch. Let's not forget Butch... :)

It's Debbie Nossee and along with Julia shot very well and were top shots!
I ended up second place to Julia at that Statesville match! I have not seen ether one of them at a GSSF match in quite some time.

Debbie, a GSSF/USPSA shooter won Matchmiester at Topton as an amateur in 2002. Wei will graduate to Master after the Conyers finals are posted. Cynthia Bishop is not far behind with two wins.

Debbie and Vern were regulars for quite a few years. Nice folks, too bad we don't see them any more.

Those just happen to be (or been) our two top shooters on the AHC Amateur Ladies Team.

When Cindy Bishop graduates that will leave Gail P., Lisa-Marie, and myself - difficult to find we-three at any given single match.

Cindy Noyes agreed to fill in if needed, but she isn't at all the matches either. I initially thought she may/should be a USPSA Master, but I suppose not.

I need to try to recruit a couple of high-scoring lady GSSF amateurs. Suggestions?

Ann Young of PA would be my first choice, but she shoots for Pistol People.

Kitty, you could register in Master Stock and enter a Master's team.

Thought of her, but figured she's close to Master as well - and most of us on the AHC team are Southeastern U.S. dwellers.

Your best source of candidates might be found in Amateur Civilian Category of the ladies match in SC.:wavey:

Ahead of you on that, too. ;) That's how I cherry-picked the existing team - took the 5 top AmCiv shooters from Reeevsville. After that top five the scores weren't competitive. I'm tough, but I'll keep searching...

Julia is the president of the club in Charlotte where we (Ron, Reggie and I) shoot IDPA matches. I wasn't aware that she shoot GSSF nor that she did so well. We usually see her every 4th Saturday. Will have to mention this to her.

Okay Danny... just spoke with Wei. If Conyers isn't finalized by Charleston on the 29th, can Wei shoot in AmCiv on the AHC Team? If so, we can put a ladies team together.
