    Greetings all !!

As far as driving to Conyers from Texas (straight shot on I-20 from Dallas), it looks like I will be going through Louisiana, Mississippi, and Georgia. Any special precautions (beyond locked cases in the trunk) on transport of the competition materials ? I am estimating a 13-hour trip each way. Sound about right ?

Nope, I think each state is a gun friendly state, never had any problems while traveling. And 11-13 hours is about right on travel time. It usually takes me 8-9 to make it to Shreveport when visiting the kin folks.

    Have a safe trip. :wavey:

Thanx for the info, Roadkill. I will at least keep the match paperwork in front seat with me just in case. Take care and have a great day !!

Think Alabama's in the mix, too. Don't forget Alabama!!

Isn't Louisiana a 'must inform' state, if you're stopped by LE and carrying?

Texas is a must inform state also! And definitely keep it concealed!

    Good morning, gents !!

Thanx for the reminder about Alabama !! I was planning on carrying the items in their original Glock cases with the locks around the handle and placing them in the trunk. Not carrying anything in the front or passenger areas.

In Georgia, it is legal to have a weapon in the passenger compartment of the vehicle provided you are not ineligible to have a firearm.

In your home state recognizes GA's carry license, GA automatically grants reciprocity.

South Carolina doesn't recognize GA, so that's why I also have non-resident Florida permit and a Utah non-resident one as well.

Gives me over 30 something states last time I checked.

    Good morning, All !!!

I just looked at the map attachment you posted, SCC. It IS going to be a long drive. GAAAAK !!! Thank goodness for the IPOD and 5 Hour Energy drinks. Besides, the only other road trips outside of Texas have been Arkansas and Louisiana. It does make for a good break from the ordinary, though.

so, are their more vendors at this match then at other matches?
Just curious, since I lwould like to check out a few items I had in mind, like grips, etc.

I know Ed's Public Safety will be there, but any others?

also, does anyone know where I can get something like this?

    http://www.amazon.com/Mac-Sports-Fo...UTF8&coliid=I1USGHX8NW28UH&colid=G0EZV4HLDV51

other than from amazon, since I waited to long to get one and I need it for Conyers.

I know GlockRunner I believe has one like this, but I've been looking all around at all the stores, like Target, Ace Hardware, Sams, Wal-Mart, etc and no one has any foldable carry carts.

I really don't feel like carry my Range Bag and 4 chairs all over the place, like I did at Columbia....it was a hassle.

I know Ron made one out of a stroller, and I saw it at Columbia, but again, I really waited to long and now I'm in a hurry.
    Thanks,
    Greg

Hey... I've already stolen that idea. My old plate just happens to be my screen name, so... :)

Look for a Coast Guard license plate with SARDG on a black cart.

    My wagon plate is "DannyR"

My Windstar license plate is "GSSF-1"

    My wagon does not fold.

Traded in the Navigator for a new White Ford F-350 with a topper. The Lincoln wasn't large enough for my shooting stash. ;) Coast Guard personalized plate on that, too... 'CGOPS'.
