I was wondering if I just get a 9mm barrel and 9mm mags I could just swap those out and my Glock 22 could shoot without any problems? The only problem I would see is messing up the extractor, or would it be ok?

You need a 40/9mm barrel. There is a lot of debate on this but I would also change out the extractor, ejector, and spring-loaded bearing.

Yeah, as Bob stated, make sure you get a CONVERSION barrel and not just a standard, Glock 9mm barrel if you decide to do this. The reason for the need of a conversion barrel is that they are made with a thicker wall so that the overall diameter of the barrel will match up with the hole size in the end of the .40 slide.
