Hi all, sorry if this has been posted already (and I'm pretty sure it has...). I just bought a used Gen 3 Glock 17 frame for a good price. It seems to be in excellent shape aside from some dimpling on the front pin and finish wear on the slide release tab. I also just bought a SIG P226 so I have 9mm covered, and decided to go with the .40 S&W for the Glock. Because of what I believed to be correct, I found a complete G22 upper for sale and purchased it (ie. money is sent). Reading the Glock Armorer's Manual it mentions you should not put a G22 slide onto a G17 frame because the ejector may strike the primer causing an OOB ignition. That is definitely NOT how I want to enjoy my first Glock. Is that true and do I need to swap parts, or is it more of a liability issue? Looking at Glockmeister.com I see he has complete receiver kits for a mere $58.00 USD. Should I purchase one and get the G22 set? Thanks very much for all help!
