I’ve been a big Glock 21 fan for nearly 20 years. I have larger hands and have a Hogue grip sleeve on my 21 (non-SF) as it fits me well but I’ve been thinking about adding a 41.

Anyone purchased one and not liked it? Anyone been a 21 fan but was less than impressed with the 41?

I carried the 21 for years at work. Now a 41. No complaints about the 41 (or 21). The 41 is a couple of ounces lighter so recoil is slightly felt more (the 45 doesn't have much recoil to begin with anyways). The grip on my Gen3 (non SF) 21 is bigger so i also put a hogue on the 41 for hands to fit better.

Excellent choice. The G41 is a pleasure to shoot. Just purchased my 2nd G21 to convert to 45 Super.

The 41 is a tack driver very manageable recoil.
    It's like shooting a G34 IMO.

I've had a 21SF for years, love it. I got the 41 thinking it'd be even better. I still haven't warmed up to it and prefer the 21SF.

Lighter, slimmer, longer sight distance. Don't get me wrong, the 21 has its purpose but for for a range toy or home defense, I think the 41 is a good choice.
Try putting more rounds through the 41 and you will be impressed with its accuracy.

I've had my 41 for about three years now. I was actually looking to trade my G21 Gen 3 for a Gen 4, but there were none to be had locally. I ran across a vendor with a lightly used G41, and after checking it out, I negotiated a swap. I have been completely pleased with it. The G41 is about the same size and weight as an M1911, and holds 13+1 rounds along with the Glock reliability. With the slim slide, it fits in the same holster rigs that I use for my G19 and G22. As far as shooting, it's a dream, and a tack driver. Like the other longslides, it has the 3.5 pound connector on the trigger, and adjustable target sights. Mine is primarily a range and house gun... TE_Glock41.JPG I have a G30 and a Shield 45 in my little flock of 45s, but the one I like best and carry most in that caliber is the G41. I have no regrets at all in trading from the G21 up to the G41.

I like 45acp, I like G21's, I loved my G41. I just don't have any other 45's so it got traded for something I needed. If I had the spare cash, I'd still have it, no doubt.

    I did it backwards.

The G41 is great. It was the first 45 ACP I ever purchased. I am glad I did.

After buying the G41 I then ran across a 2nd gen G21. I really love both.

Do you need both? Probably not. The G21 and G41 gave similar recoil. Carry about the same and are both plenty accurate.

I shot my G21.4 back to back with my G41 MOS and the 21 was softer shooting.

I have owned a 36, 30, 21 and 41. The 21 feeds the best and has the softest recoil. 41 is a great gun with the bonus feature of fitting holsters for the 34/35 as well.

My 41 was very accurate and fun to shoot. These days I am in between .45's and will most likely look for a Gen 3 SF, 21 to replace the 41.

My 41 was my first 45 caliber Glock. I like it well enough that I just bought a 30S on Gunbroker. Should be here later this week. Owned a 2nd Gen model 20 for several years, but never a 21. The 20 was way too big to conceal carry, but the 30S should be fine for that and a companion gun for the 41. I have heard that one of the local small town PDs here locally issues the 41 to their patrol officers. Have not heard how they like them. I guess I should ask about that.

I could check with my calipers, but I'm pretty sure the 41 (any of the double-stack .45s) frame is wider than the 9mm frames, so fitting in a G34 holster is not guaranteed and may require adjustment to the holster if it's going to fit at all.

Thank you for the replies gentlemen, I think there is indeed a Glock 41 in my future.

If you like full size 1911's, the G41 is pretty much the same size, but lighter in weight and higher capacity. They're a smooth shooter for sure, so there's a good chance you'll enjoy one. Mine's shown below with a 'couple siblings...

8DDA4C80-07A7-43F6-B414-E1E4132C5C68.jpeg I love mine. I preferred it over my G21. Sold the 21 and shoot the hell out of the 41. Shot it in USPSA Limited Division a couple times. Very accurate gun. It’s also my nightstand gun.

If you do buy the 41, make to get one with the MOS SLIDE CUT.
    Well worth the added cost.

I have the MOS on my G40. I use a Delta Point Pro on it , very enjoyable.

I know lots of folks are fans of the MOS but I don’t ever see myself mounting any type of optic on a handgun.

I recently purchased a G41. Just ordered a KKM 10mm conversation barrel for it and a G20 extractor. (and of course G20 mags).
As soon as I get the barrel and gun set up, I’ll take to a range and get a range report done.

Looking forward to your report. I installed a KKM .45 ACP barrel in mine, but have not yet "pulled the trigger" on a 10mm barrel.
