That article does seem to have a lot of the reasons for why Trump was elected President.

We conservatives are tired of the Republican Party kowtowing to the Democrats.

As said in previous posts, it is the failure of the Republican Party, not "conservatism".

Just a correction: Our governor is a 'D' (stands for D-bag...). But at least we haven't had riots ... yet. Some BLM blocked the Interstate 10 when things were beginning but no real riots to speak of. Maybe they are too tired from committing petty crimes (breaking auto windows) or busy doing same. It's at least mostly quiet in New Orleans but I'm about 25 miles out so it hasn't affected me.

I think between China, Ukraine and Big Tech, most of our Congress is owned. No other explanation for them being so quiet, askeered to even make a peep.

The article was written by a professor at Hillsdale College. Hardly a Liberal school.
IMO the Republican party has left conservatism behind and is simply less liberal then the Democrats.
Neither party any longer wants to write or pass legislation. Just too much work, too many unpopular laws/ideas to defend when election time comes. Laws today are written by un elected bureaucrats and left wing Judges.
Most of Americas political problems lie to two beds.
#1 Unlimited terms for both Senators and Congress.
#2 The huge expensive cloying bureaucracy that answers to no one.

Rush keeps talking about how Twitter does not represent America. It does represent the young, and they will be taking over the govt in the following years. They have been schooled in and steeped in liberalism.
    We are screwed.

You guys are missing the whole point of this article.

It is pretty much talking about how the era of the do nothing anti-Trump so called conservatives who promote war, and encourage immigration, and "free trade" destructive to American interests and jobs, among other things, and who are afraid to to aggressively oppose the leftist agenda, who are mostly talk but no action, is over.

No, but so called conservative politicians are afraid to do anything about it. And I am not talking about violence.

How many years have we heard how the left is getting away with everything?

    Ah no. Not hardly.

You have Vox day confused with Vox.com.

Vox.com is a news site. Vox Day is a blogger.

    Vox.com=Lefty.

    Vox Day= righty. https://infogalactic.com/info/Verified:Vox_Day

    Philosophical views
Vox Day is known for libertarian and traditional views, and has been described as an "alt-right figurehead".[42] He considers himself to be a political philosopher and a conceptual taxonomist rather than an activist or a member of a political party.

Day describes himself as a Christian nationalist. He favors the Austrian School of economics although he is a fan of the iconoclastic post-Keynesian economist Steve Keen.

We want smaller government and less government meddling in our lives. That's what the conservative movement is all about. Aren't we getting exactly what we want (other than out of control spending)?

If the leftists want to burn down their own cities then I say let them.

I find it hard to believe this article is so far above the head of the people here, that they can't grasp the points of it.

I thought you guys were much smarter than this.

The article can easily be interpreted as such:

The conservatives are ducking the mad flailing of the leftist mob. This makes the left even more enraged and unhinged, because they know at some level, without even requiring an opponent, they've lost.

I'm sure some teenager found that deep.
Vox is a hard right ethno-nationalist. He's very much an anti-libertarian and a statist or as HE says:

Unfortunately, it's Republicans who are on the ballot in November, not conservatives. Their platform of "we're horrible but not as horrible as the alternative" is, uh, uninspiring, to put it diplomatically.

We'll let you know once we're allowed to take off our masks. Don't pretend it's only Democrat cities and states that have those mandates.
